Horizontal In-feed

DiscChipper1

DPD disc chipper is projected to process logs and sawmill wastes generating high-quality chips for the pulp process or other purposes.

Design

DiscChipper2

A modern and simple design provides a high availability rate, easy operation and maintenance.

The single block frame structure provides great stability to the chipping unit, being important and decisive fact for the high-quality chips production.

The chipped material outlet is on the bottom by gravity (extracted by belt, worm screw or pneumatic) or by blowing at the upper part.

Chip Quality

DiscChipper3

Cutting knives system projected to generate high-quality chips. Wear plates and knife settling clamps built on material with high resistance to abrasion, easily replaceable, assuring the chips uniformity.

Counter-Knife System

DiscChipper3

Horizontal and vertical counter-knife system, provides a low rate of oversize generation. Optionally, a supplementary rechipping system could be included.

Disc Brake

DiscChipper4

Disc-type brake, hydraulically activated, slows down the motor speed and stop it in a few seconds, significantly decreasing the knife replacing time, apart of providing additional security in emergency cases.

Start System

DiscChipper5

Smooth and progressive start-up system, with auxiliary motor and hydrodynamic coupling (picture), apart of conventional starting, allow the use of one or more driving motors.

Power transmission through pulleys or gear motors.
