Demuth DDC Flail Debarkers are sturdy machines developed to debark most of the wood species, especially those with stringy and hard to remove bark (e.g. Eucalyptus, Acacia). Its concept allows the debarking of crooked logs with branches.
The DDC is equipped with a variable speed control, which easily allows the setting of best performance processing parameters, according to the wood characteristics, such as log diameter, bark type and humidity.
Equipment design allows easy lay-out adaptation to any debarking needs (cellulose, particle board, MDF, sawmill, among others).
Multiple log infeeding section designed to pull in the logs through a double driven rolls system, accommodating them side-by-side by pneumatic pressure in the upper rolls.
Upper infeed rolls assembled on a pivoting hood, allowing continue adjustment to any log diameters resulting in better traction.
Driving and Transmission System
Demuth DDC Flail Debarker is driven by electrical motors and gear-motors, of easy maintenance and great reliability.
Machine complies with CE international safety standards by its electrical and mechanical devices.

Regular, crooked, curved and badly delimbed logs are equally debarked in the Demuth DDC Flail Debarker.
Debarking is guaranteed by a double flail system. Debarking chains reach the entire log, removing the bark through the contact of the hardened links while in rotational movement.
Operational parameters are achieved through an operator-friendly control panel, which provides all process settings, such as cruising speed, flail rotation and pneumatic pressure.
Internal exchangeable wearing plates to protect frame, increasing machine useful life;
Fast chain replacement system;
Sturdy and simple conception with minimum maintenance level, allowing high availability.
Peripheral Equipament
Demuth also produces all additional equipment for the best performance of a debarking installation.
