Sturdy Construction
Demuth oscillating screen is of an extremely sturdy construction and has an easy maintenance concept. Manufactured in laminated profiles with square section and structural quality plate, features welded diagonal crossbars that provide an excellent stability.
Working Description
The maintenance and cleaning services are made easier by the front opening covers, which also allow a quick change of the mesh.
The chips are thrown on the first mesh deck by a discharge control chute, optionally supplied with a flow-equalizing worm screw.
The smaller chips than the mesh from the first classifying screen deck are thrown onto the second and the third ones, which discharge the dimensionally accepted chips for the pulp process. The oversized chips that remain on the first deck are directed to the oversize outlet section, re-chipped and sent back to the initial selecting process. The last deck receives all the smaller sized particles named fines, not accepted at the pulp process.
Demuth screens have an automatic lubricating unit for the shaft bearings.

Safety Cables
Suspended by steel cables (plus auxiliary safety cables), the screening is performed in an efficient, silent and precise way. The sturdy sustentation beams, supported by concrete columns, do not allow vibrations to be transfered from the screen to nearby facilities.
Chip Quality
The quality of the selected chips has a direct effect on the final pulp production. Therefore, the efficient and quick chip selection is essential for increasing the productivity.
Operacional System
An eccentric adjustable weight system installed on a vertical shaft on the screen center guarantees its exact oscillation which, combined with different revolution, frequency and amplitude, may adapt to any kind of chips. The screen meshes can be easily replaced in case of changing the selected chip sizes or for maintenance purposes.
