The chipped material outlet can be downwards, or backwards, onto a flow equalizing bin and screw or a belt conveyor.
CHIPS QUALITY - HIGH ACCEPTS RATE
Demuth’s DPDI chipper is distinguished by its new and original constructive form, focused on a better chips quality and uniformity. Projected to allow a high rate of accepted chips, has consequently the lowest loss percentage (significant reduction of fines and oversized rates) when compared to other machines available in the market.
Extremely robust, Demuth chippers are the heaviest in the market and can therefore support heavy working loads without affecting the chip’s quality and uniformity.
Through a gear box with one,two or four inlets, or by a pulley and belt set (in this case, driven by one or two motors).
With an inedit assembly conception, Demuth chipper becomes a monoblock unit mounted over an extremely reinforced frame. This project allows the distribution of the working load over a considerable bigger support area, giving stability to the whole set and allowing an adjustment between knives and counter-knives smaller than the usual, with a consequent gain in chips quality.
Equipped with an exclusive patented system of high precision radial and axial bearings, guarantees total stability to the rotor during the chipping process, adding more uniformity to the chip’s length and thickness.
Innovating system to remove logs that eventually can obstruct chipper’s infeed spout. These are quickly and effective liberated by the hydraulically driven Log Kicker, increasing the productivity at the chipping line, due to less stops.
Protection hood with sliding or tilting removal, allows an easy access to the rotor for knives changing as well as for eventual maintenance services.
The bed knife change, with a wedges fixation system, makes this operation extremely simple and quick. Through a hydraulic cylinder, the extraction of this bed knife can be effected in few minutes
HIGH PERFORMANCE BREAKING SYSTEM
Disc-type brake, hydraulically activated,slows down the rotor speed and stop it in around 30 seconds, significantly decreasing the knife replacing time, apart of providing additional protection in emergency cases.
